Mr. G., a US national, sustained a TIA while in Santiago, Chile. Med Solutions International was notified through the patient’s travel assistance provider and arrangements were made for monitoring of his hospitalization in an approved facility. His spouse’s travel itinerary, accompanying him on the trip, was revised and accommodations made for her extended stay in a hotel near the facility. The case was monitored throughout treatment and until the patient was discharged from the hospital. MSI was in direct communication with Mr. G’s physician in Seattle, Washington, in order to transition the case following the patient’s return home. All medical records were translated and copies provided on discharge. Air evacuation to a tertiary care facility in Athens was coordinated, for definitive care, to include  maxillofacial and eye surgery. Following surgical intervention and recovery, Mr. V. safely returned home to Caracas, Venezuela. Communication was established with receiving specialists for continued care upon return.

 

Mr. D, a Russian national, presented complications due to diabetes while traveling for business to Cyprus. Medical Solutions International made arrangements for his examination by an endocrinologist, to regulate medication and stabilize his condition. Mr. D. was able to resume his trip within 48 hours. Payment to the provider was coordinated directly through MSI.

 

Ms. L., a Chinese national, required examination by an orthopedic specialist while on vacation in Boston, Massachusetts. An appointment was scheduled within 24 hours by Med Solutions International and Ms. L was diagnosed with an ankle contusion.
